.38 S & W sources

I have just got hold of a Mk IV Webley and need sources for .38 S & W. I just took the last box off my local store's shelf and am looking for factory loads, reloads, etc. Any suggestions? I am located in the Lower Mainland.

Buy a Lee loader and load the brass yourself. It is not difficult and you just might enjoy it.... You can probably set yourself up for around 150.00 and as they say "Bob's yur uncle".

The Fiocchi 2008 catalogue lists 38 S & W; not sure how easy it is to get one's hands on. Thanks to everyone who mentioned the Lee loader.

I'm waiting for my Lee, S&W .38/200 molds to arrive, from a Cast Boolits group buy I got in on, back in the spring. I think it will be interesting to see how they shoot, with the bullets they where designed for.

Greetings,this is my second post on this forum. My experience with the .38 S&W is a little out of date. I have purchased MagTech .38 S&W from Midway on line but haven't looked recently to see if it is still available.
For reloading I purchased 500 unsized and unlubed 140 gr bullets from Penn Bullets in PA , lubed them with Liquid Alox, and loaded them unsized in the Starline .38 S&W brass. They mic'd at .361 and shot about as well as the MagTech ammo. I also tried Hornady 148 gr hollow based wad cutters, thinking that the bullets could expand to fit the larger bore and ran into markedly increased pressures and failed cases

The Enfield revolver weathered this bit of stupidity without a hiccup.

I would agree that reloading is the answer...if you don't have a press then hopefully you know someone who does...

I shoot a Hopkins & Allen 1860 top break.
I cut down 38 special brass and use Lee dies.
I use Black Powder only
