FYI: mild reloads for 30-06

My 03A3 has a nasty recoil when I shoot military surplus thru it. I found some reload data for mild loads using 180 grain lead bullets. Using IMR 4895 with 27.0 grains and 2400 powder using 16-20 grains. The 2400 recoils very mild.

There is tremendous pleasure to be had in firing reduced power loads from military rifles. Some folks rarely or even never use jacket bullets firing only cast bullets. There are many who obtain outstanding results with loads that are not only accurate but powerful enough for hunting, etc.
