Talking Puzzle of restoring a thing

Hello, here`s a puzzle for all restorers.

Today i had to restore a thing. What can it be? No marks on the wood and the few metalparts but a little rust on the metal. It looked more than one time used and had no idea if i had to use BLOicon or Tung oil . But i am sure that it isnt worth to parkerize the metalparts. No problems with headspace but you can get enormous problems with your wife and daughter when you dont want to do it. Any thoughts ?
O.K. i`ll tell it to you.

    It`s a guiena pig house.

Have more fun with restoring my rifles!

BTW if you must do someday a thing like this, dont ask your daughter if guinea pigs taste good with garlic on the BBQ

I was with biologists in a National Park in Saskatchewan, Canadaicon, a week ago; I asked if anyone knew what prairie dogs tasted like... they thought I was kind of strange. Oh well!

Did you know that if you pick a guinea pig up by the tail, its eyes will fall out?
