Query regarding typical prices for No.4 Mk.2s

I have a quick question. What would be a reasonable asking price for a 1950 No.4 mk.2 with a few light dings on the butt and forestock, and a little bit of wear on the end of the bolt handle, with the rest of the rifle in "new" condition, and the bore very clean and bright?

    Prices

That is a hard question to answer.

I have seen new ones in the wrap for around $450 to $800 in gunshops out West.

I bought one a couple of years ago for $250 at a local gunshop that had it on consignment.
I thought that was a exceptional buy. It was a 54 IIRC.

I know this isn't much help, but the idea is that prices vary greatly depending on who is selling the rifle.

About all you can hope for is for members to chime in and relate their buying experiences. You can then get a ball park figure and it also depends on how bad you want it.
They are not that easy to find.
