    Aprox date for IBM 3,669,6xx

Aprox date needed for IBM 3,669,6xx.
Curious if it would have had a dated IBM barrel.
Part of my search to find a receiver that could be used with a no date IBM barrel I have stamped with just the small 1/16" size P.

    TIA

Guessing it would have a dated barrel...8,9 or 10 of 43.

Did the size or style of the P proof change depending on which maker used it?

    Thx
    Charlie

    Thanks Brian,
I take note of any reply you share.
My question in the previous post was a typo....
Did the size or style of the P proof change depending on which maker used it? I meant to ask..Did the size or style of the P proof change depending on WHEN the maker used it?

I understand that a IBM or any barrel used on a NPM would have the punch mark.
I also understand that each maker had their own type of P proof marking of varying size, style and location.

I see where my previous questions are confusing.
I asked about the above Stan Pro receiver in hopes it could be correct for the IBM barrel I have. But in doing so I'm getting ahead of myself.
I need help to positively ID the makers P proof on the IBM barrel I have.

This is a no date IBM barrel with a 1/16th size P stamped 5 3/8" from the muzzle. No other markings. It does have a IBM type II frt sight, but it could have been swapped out at some point.

Can anyone identify which maker used this barrel from looking at the P proof.

    Thank You,
    Charlie
