    M38 Swedish disassembly

    I have a 1941 Husqavarna Swedishicon M38, 6.5x55 of course.

I want to disassemble it to give it a good cleaning, check for rust (none visible on the outside), etc.

After removing the magazine, and then the front and rear screws I was not able to pull out the trigger guard assembly. It may be stuck in there with some old cosmoine or something. Any ideas on how to get it out without messing up the wood or the metal?

    Sidney,

sometimes a hairdryer can help. If the cosmolineicon is warm you can disassemble it a bit easier, without damages on wood or metal. My 1943 M38 Husqvarna had not one piece of rust on it. They are good quality rifles. Enjoy shooting it!
