I´ve long been trying to find out just how many (and which) parts were made in East Germanyfor these VoPo Lugers.
Gun shows here in Germany had baskets of side plates and firing pins soon after re-unification. But what else did they manage to make?
They made approx. 50-100 new production Lugers. Highly prized by collectors.
My VOLPO has a WWI unit marked frame a Mauser S42 cannon with a new EG barrel. The small parts are S42

What is the unit mark on your VOPO?
K./ J. R. 14. 31
It's a post WWI Reichswehr Reichsheer or, Army unit mark circa 1921-22. The mark translates to Kraftfahr Abteilung/ Infantry Regiment 14 weapon #31. (Truck Driver detachment for the 14th Infantry Regt.) This is a neat and fairly scarce unit mark.
Cool DB
