Type 38 cleaning rod

Argh! For some reason I can't find any information on the correct length cleaning rod for a Type 38 (Non-carbine). There seem to be two: 24" and 21.5"

Which one do I need??

T38 Cleaning rods are 29 1/2" long; T99 Cleaning rods are 24" long

If you are talking about the T38 Calvary Rifle it takes a rod 23 1/2 inches long. roy
