Are the scope and mount original to the rifle?

I wish I had that kind of money.

The parts are the original type Echo mount, the standard dovetail base, and the type 3 OIP scope as used in the Belgiumicon contract sniping rifles.

I knew I had an action shot of this rifle somewhere. From the military rifle shoot in Quebec city earlier this fall, the GF using said rifle... After her dad's P14 was deemed unfit for service.

    Pretty sweet little setup!

    Thanks Diopter

any Idea where I can get that type scope set-up for my SAFN? its a beater in 8 mm and I love it, I can get 2.5" if I do my part w/open sights. I would really love to put a near correct scope rig on it, M.T. SDH

I got mine close to twenty years ago I think from Sarco or Century or both.

    These days
    Scope mount base:
    Optics

    PARTS
    FN Semi-Auto Rifle Model 1949

Hunt on ebay whenever you can.

Stay away from the S&K FN49 Mount. It was so bad It made me willing to spend what was needed to get the real thing.

DaveGP from CGN built an excellent mount for the SAFN he rebarreled to 7.62 NATO. Uses the stock dovetails and worked very well.
