I have only seen 4 plex (or duplex) and post and crosshair types, also known as reticle 2 and 8.

Cheers for that. Any idea of the proportions at all - have people seen more 4 plex or post and crosshair?

The correct Enforcer / Pecar reticule is Number 2
    (Picture from Pecar brochure)

Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

So they would never have been the 4 plex originally then?

The original "specified" reticule was Number 2, however not all of the Police Forces ordered their Enforcers 'complete'. Some, as budgets allowed, added bipod, scope etc at a later date.

Enforcers have been seen with a variety of scope makes and reticules so 'never say never' - any scope / reticule numbered to an Enforcer could be an original / later add on.
Mind you - not all forces numbered the scopes to the rifle, so an un-numbered scope could be an original or just someones efforts to make a complete Enforcer. You'll never know. !!!!!!

So - no real answer to your question.
