    Vinyl Chart

Moving stuff around in the garage and ran across this vinyl Training Chart. Besides a nice Carbine item, it was made my birth year so thought it was worth having.

    Wow!

Hey Jim, I didn't think they made the carbine at the turn of the century!

ABSA, very cool. Thanks for sharing.

    Bill,

Sure they made a carbine at the turn of the century, I think my Dad put one in my craddle.
    Just not the M1icon Carbine.

Happy birthday, Frank. Me three. 26 Sep 49. Remember the moment you heard JFK shot? Bet you do. I was an Indiana HS frosh hanging over a pool table in City teen rec center on my lunch hour when they announced it on the radio. I remember the rest of the day as pretty weird. So long ago. May 7th for me. If it's still around Social Security is only 6 months away. Taking it as soon as I can get it.

Nov 22 1963 when JFK was shot I was in Spanish Class. It came over the radio at 11:00 A.M. PST, about 20 minutes after the shooting.

Thanks ChipS, happy birthday to you also! Yea, 22 Nov. '63 I was at a buddies house at lunch hour. We headed back to school and stopped at the corner store. The owner was a WW2 vet, he had a small black and white TV on and told us what had happened. Seems like all of the adults were really shook that day. The next days and months changed everything. Seems like it took our country almost twenty years to get it together again. Most of my buddies went Marines, I went Army. Always a good time when we get together to remember......Frank

Hey Jim we're not far behind, if it is still there when we hit the number

The vinyl charts were produced by the Government Printing Office. I have them for the Garandicon, 1919A6, BAR, M2 50 BMG.

The strange thing about the Garand is the one printed in 1949 has the late rear sight, the one printed in 1951 or 52 (memory issue) has the lock bar sight.
