Stelios Chrysochou, the founder of SC Gunworks, Inc., was trained in
Canada
as a gunsmith in the gunsmithing department of Hallam’s Sporting Goods Ltd., one of Canada’s oldest (established 1866) and largest gun shops in Canada. From 1986 to 1996, Stelios managed the gunsmithing and gun repair department of Hallam’s as its master gunsmith.
In response to an increasing demand for custom gunsmithing and the restoration of high quality firearms, Stelios established SC Gunworks, Inc. in 1996 with Peter Venet, one of Canada’s finest shotgun stock makers. A year later, Giuseppe (Joe) Bianco, was added to SC’s team of professional gunsmiths. Joe had just returned from formal gunsmith training in Gardone,
Italy. And one year later, Gord Gimbert was enlisted to the team.
