    11-027 Garand Picture of the Day



    These glider pilots, among the first to strike their boots on enemy held soil, fought their way back through Germanicon held territory, reached the beachhead, caught the first available evacuation boat back to Englandicon and returned to fly another. They are, left to right, Lieutenant Charles B. Ellington, High Point, North Carolina; Flight Officer Joe Gilreath, Fort Worth, Texas; Flight Officer Kenneth Ensor, Plano Illinois. Invasion of Franceicon. 8 June 1944. (6/8/1944)

    Yea, they were pilots until they landed. Then they were Infantry.
    M3 fighting knives, jump gloves, extra ammo, helmets, packs and M1icon's.
