    Quality HW Carbine Question

Would an Inland (IO) handguard ever have been found on a Quality Hardware M1icon Carbine? I have a 1.58 mil Quality Hardware M1 Carbine that appears to be all correct and original (per Ruth) except for the handguard, which is marked IO. The handguard bears the same wear as the stock and is nearly identical in color. I don't plan on replacing the handguard, as there are wear marks and dings that go from the stock to the handguard. Just curious.

    Thanks,
    John

As long as it isnt a late 4 rivet handguard, I dont think anyone could say that it could not possibly be original. Not changing it is a smart move if it looks like its been together awhile.
