"Jelly Tins" Are they rare?

Hi everyone,
How many SMLE Mk1 Jelly Tins are still out there?
What are they worth?
They come up every now and then here in NZ and go for quite big money.
I have two, but don't have the pouch they go in.

It DOES look a lot like 1994, but I'm guessing 1904?

Thank you for posting the photos, these tins must be as rare as hens' teeth. I've only ever seen a small black and white photo in Ian Skennerton's 'Lee Enfield' reference, but as a MK I SMLE owner, it's certainly an accessory I'd like!

No idea what one would fetch, but was amazed at the recent auction for a 'Flanders Mudflap' SMLE accessory on Ebay (£560?), so there must be a market.

Hi,
It is 1904, these tins were issued with the Mk1 SMLE because there was no Butt Trap like the later Mk3's had for the brass oiler. These Tins came in a web pouch which is in Skennertons book.

Have seen about 5 at auctions over the years in NZ 2 in one auction, prices have ranged from $50NZ to over $300NZ

It's pretty hard to stick and oil bottle and pull through through one of these. This is an original trials SMLE butt plate...Also used on the early Mk.I's
