Springfield Armory M1A with GI parts

Anyone know when Springfield Armory, Inc. went from USGI parts to their own? I know that on the receiver and GI parts on my rifle (serial #57,XXX) the finish on the parts seem to match. I suppose the rifle could have been re-finished in it's entirety before I acquired it since it sports a fairly new match grade barrel.

No specific date. I have a scout 217xxx that is still sporting a HR trigger housing, hammer and safety. Bolts and Op-rods were long gone significantly before that.
There may be some better info on M14tfl.

I believe the change-over was gradual & spanned at least several years. As GI parts began to dry up, SA Inc. contracted to have new replacements made, but not necessarily according to original design drawings. Obviously, some minor changes were made to reduce cost & utilize newer technology/components.
