    Question on Break Free CLP

I just found a case (12ea) 4 OZ. bottles of Break Free in my father-in-laws shed. Can you guys tell me if it goes bad? It was manufactured 5-87 and has a test date of 5-90. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't go bad but make sure you shake well before using. The Canadianicon army stopped using it as originally issued because once it's applied it separates again after a time. The lubricating part boiled away under heat leaving a sticky residue causing functioning problems with automatic weapons. We never had these problems with the old ESSO rifle oil so we changed to CLP22 which is closer to a standard type of lube. For normal civilian use this stuff should be fine.
    Regards, Jim
