    Gunsmiths in Berlin

Thought I'd ask the question here. I'm off to Berlin towards the middle of September. Does anyone have any contact details of gunsmiths in Berlin? I'm actually after the set trigger for a Mannlicher Schoenauer 1903 but would be willing to visit any one who is likely to have drawers full of old classic rifle bits.

Best use Google -> click me. Worked out on my US trip aswell

For the Mannlicher Schönauer trigger you'd better give eGun a try, it's like gunbroker.com but in Germanicon. If someone doesn't want to ship to UKicon, tell me I'd help you then.

Don´t think you´ll have much luck finding a good gunsmith in Berlin. Quite a few serious collectors ... but they tend to keep very much to themselves. Even the annual gun show (that doesn´t actually take place annually) is a bit of a let down with a lot of dealers from Poland trying to sell souvenirs dug up and looted from WWI burial sites. But keeping an eagle eye on the Germanicon e-gun web site is worth while.

    Try these people first

BTW, Triebel is the No. 1 address in Germany if you need any gunsmithing tools. Tools are handled by a different department:

I just asked Triebel. Their answer basically matches up with what Patrick Villiers already wrote. Don't forget, you are talking about a century-old hunting rifle. Such guns were never made on a production line basis. There never were stocks of parts as for service rifles. Triebel suggests (and I agree) that you should take it to a gunsmith in the UKicon and see if he can rejig something more modern to fit.

Or repair it. What is exactly is the problem?

Have asked around and the answer is:

    http://www.eschoder.com/

They maintain a "Schoenauer (parts) Ersatzteil Service" and seem to have what you´re looking for.
