Not too sure where this thread belons, Mods place in appropriate forum. No doubt there will be howls of protest, however, it is my intent to restore the following:
- Lee Enfield SMLE MK3
- Webley Revolver
Once restored I want to mount them individually as a static display within a timber frame case. My question is what would be a good mounting setup as to to only show the weapon without any clamps, brackets etc that would take-away the actual weapon on show.
I'm thinking of some sort of 'blind' bolt/screw coming from behind the timber panel picking up the woodwork on the SMLE, and some part of the Webley.
Any thoughts/suggestions on an ideal method, or has anyone done this before and how did it turn out. The displays are for my study at home, got a collection of memorobilia from my Great Grandfather/Grandfather and father from previous conflicts they served in. Just thought the weapons would 'cap' off the study.Information
