Thaks Mark, the man on the bank without a hat on in the 1st. Panama pic has to be an instructor. Seems like he is giving the troops some advice.
The second pic of the soldier loading his M1, I think he has a 1945 pack on. I have one and use it all the time. Looks just like his. Also how about the machete's, well in the jungle they would be needed.....frank
