Best M1 Grease Explanation I've Found Anywhere

I don't know about you folks, but this is, by far, the very best explanation with illustrations for greasing the Garandicon I've found anywhere.

    Is it "sticky" worthy?

This has been discussed on more than one occasion. It is good advise as it has been in the past. Thanks for posting

I put it up here for the sake of nominating it for "sticky" qualification.

    Lubed

I find it interesting that in Basic Training my M1icon ran best bone dry. I qualified Expert with it that way.

    Lubriplate in the tupe

This tube of lubriplate (Newark NJ) is old, before the zip code was used !

    Grease

As a future GCAicon article will discuss, I'm guessing the first lube was NOT Lubriplate, it was Stano-Rust. Early docs describe the grease as "graphite-based" and Lubriplate has no graphite, Stano does. I have a tube of it.

Thanks, I like that "Grease Applicator" loaded with the Mobil 1 for only $ 3.00. Says it will last the average shooter through the season. It would last me about 10 years considering the amout of shooting I have been doing lately.
