    P1888 Bayonet Markings

I saw a P1888 bayonet with a regimental marking on the pommel that has me stumped. The mark was: I.Y.W.S.T. I figure that I.Y. might be Imperial Yeomanry, but the rest escapes me. Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Ralph

A photo would have been a great help because sometimes the poor lettering can sometimes be read confusingly. It could be Judge Wesley School Taunton (it won't be though!) but you see what I mean

Thanks so much for taking the time to look. I was able to get this pic of the marking.

There has been a lot of talk on other forums about the IY stamp being found on Frenchicon Chassepots and the like. Here it was pronounced to be Ipswich Yeomanry - a real unit - based on location the first item was found.

This was refuted as the yeomanry wouldn't have used French Items. However what it was replaced with was a French film prop company marking. could it be another of these? The style however has me thinking it could be a Canadianicon marking West Saskatchewanen ?
