    1935 Brazilian Mauser

Could anyone please tell me if the 1935 Brazilianicon Mauser ever came "in the bright"? All pictures I've seen posted showed blued receivers. I have one in which the receiver appears untouched and has a bright silvery color. It's been shot of course. Import mark on the barrel (painted?) seems to be "Geneseo"? Nowhere it says what the caliber is. I read about late armory reworks by the Brazilians converting from a 7X57 to 30-06. Any way of knowing for sure? I will advertise this one for sale and should know what I' selling... Thanks for your help.

I don't know whether this will help you or not, but check the MKLicon and there's an article and 84 pic photo montage on...

Thanks, Doug. None of the pictures show other than a blued receiver. I'll try to upload a couple of photos and see if anyone comes up with an answer.

    Best wishes, Jose
