He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose
There are no great men, only great challenges that ordinary men are forced by circumstances to meet.
Mark, do they have a date?
Looks like an M3 at the sleeping guys feet.....Frank
The first picture reminded me when I worked across from DuPage County Airport in the early 70's. I rode my bike over to look at planes during lunch and one day inspected a P-51 that had been recently flown in, it was all decked out with markings for the Costa Rica Air Force!
Frank no date given
In 1988 I was on a senior leadership course in Borden Ontario Canada. I was on course with all types and trades and long and short timers. Two men, Airforce pals from 30 plus years, and I were talking about stuff. One turned to the other and said" Do you remember the two P51's we had in Trenton(Ontario) in the hanger"? The other did. He said they had been inspected and signed over to two pilots fron central America, who flew them away never to return. I wonder if this was some of this we now see? I think he was talking about 1958 or just before...
