    need help.

    Friend of mine found a m1 carbine S/N 1,065,7xx..From what i can find is its a winchester made somewhere...sept. '42- feb. '44. Anyone here have any links to some good resources or have any advice on what to look for and help us identify and date this carbine. any other helpful info. is appreciated. thanks.

    I havent looked at the rifle personally yet. Will see if i can get a photo if needed.

    My Winchester, S/N 5,742,xxx was produced in Oct., 1944. Hope this helps.

    My guess with no books here at the shop.
    A 1,06 mil WRA would have been spring of 43.

    CC #326-5 has the last Winchester SN# recorded in April 1943 as being 1,067,740. CC #337-5 has a daily count with the final number being 1,088,870. If the daily count chart is correct, your carbine was built on April 9,1943. Either way April '43 is the month.
