Need help ID'ing an old bayonet my grandfather gave me

    Hi All,

My grandfather gave me an old bayonet years ago; unfortunately, he passed away before we could really talk about where or how he got it. I've been looking around the internet, but I have yet to find a site that could give me any real direction. Attached are pics of the knife, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It's an Italianicon Model 1938 Carcano. Looks to the the model with the fixed blade, possibly the one made from new parts. Can't tell for sure without seeing the underside of the hilt.

Not sure if these help, its in rough shape, and I'm not sure it would be worth getting cleaned up/restored.

Forgot this one, appears to be the 'fixed' version.

Yes it's the fixed one. Quite common. Just use some fine steel wool and oil. It'll come up to it's best and then just leave it. It'll be fine.
    Regards, Jim
