Is this a test? How about a few closer pics and maybe some of the barrel markings at the reciever?
Regards, Jim
Sorry these aren't mine (I wish) This is the only picture that I have found.
The bolt handle looks distinctly like the sniper handle of a 91/30. Considering the cost of the rifles, a standard 91/30 with a new bolt handle would be my guess.
A few things tell me that these are not MN. The first and most notable is the separation of magazine and trigger. The next is that the bolt handle locks in behind a piece of metal on the receiver, not like a MN. The last is that it lacks the MN cocking piece on the back of the bolt. Unless these are rediculously modified beyond belief, I think we can rule out MN.
Looks distinctively like a TOZ78 but too large to be one. I'm guessing another Russianrifle made by Tula (hence the resemblance to the MN).
It almost looks as though it could be a mashup of things. Perhaps some 7.62x39 scout carbine?? has an AK underfold looking stock, the mag makes it seem smaller than 7.62x54R (I hope its smaller), and the bolt and forestock look similar to Mosin Nagant sniper.
