    Help With Smith Corona

I picked up a Smith Corona at the range and liked it so much I would like to buy it. I would appreciate some help with info about this weapon if someone can help. Thanks for the look.

Your rifle appears to have been overhauled, re-barreled, and re-assembled with mixed parts at the Raritan Arsenal. The rifle still retains many of its original Smith-Corona parts, but has a replacement bolt and trigger guard.

    Hope this helps.

    O.K. to shoot?

Been hanging about educating myself on the knowledge of others here. This is my first post in the form of a question so bare with me a bit. I beleive that this rifle has gone unfired since being refurbished by the armory based on the information supplied by the owner. That being the case would it be best left unfired to maintain value (if it has any) or does it make any difference? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.....

As John said, it has been assembled from mixed parts. While I wouldn't suggest crawling through the mud with it, I don't see any problem with an occasional trip to the range.
