I looked at your picture and went hoorayyy finally.I have been trying to find out info on a strange enfield my wifes father gave me years ago.From your picture the man in the front row looks to be carrying the same enfield I have.Mine is a 1943 enfield number 4 mark 1*I believe savage.It looks exactly like that rifle.Cut down forepiece,tapered barrel no front sights.No charger riser.I would LOVE any more info I could find on this!!!
Moderator Edit: I separated this post and subsequent responses into a NEW thread, as it really wandered and eventually had little to do with the original "stickied" and valuable post about rare experimental Long Branch sniper rifles.
