    L4A4 Barrel Holdall

    Hi,

Having just snagged one on eBay, could anyone point me at a contents list for the above?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Two oddities: the shoulder strap on the wallet has been shortened and the male half of the shoulder strap has been removed altogether. Any ideas why?

Now onto the contents... I already have some bits as part of the wider Bren accessories collection. How easy are the multi-part cleaning rods to find?

The trouble with this particular question and the reason I have held back from what on the face of it was 'the bleedin obvious' is that there are probably about three answers to this, depending on which Infantry Taining book and/or era you are reading or need to know about. So I'll let someone else be the stalking horse if you don't mind

Oh well, please correct me if any of these are wrong...

Missing is the barrel you'd have with a A1 gun, etc etc

The plastic box is debatable but since I have found them in issued kits that no collector or dealer has had a go at I thought to include it, a green painted tin one would be more correct.

Cant think of any other "sets" that used the holdall. Theres the Australianicon Roll but that was used on its own.

Could someone spell out for me nice and clearly which bits go in which pockets on the L4A4 holdall and wallet? I can guess some, but I'm not certain about all of them.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Where is the piston post spring? IT would seem inconceivable that this would ever be left out. It was the one part that DID fail

The Aussie roll doesn't have any spares at all if I recall right.

Has anyone come across any amendments to the PAMS I may have missed at the Pattern Room?

I've several spare piston post springs, should I be poping them into the tins, easy enough to do if they were put in the kits in real life.
