    No4 Mk1 Markings

I just bought a no4 mk1 and cant figure out what the markings mean, other than that it was made in 1943. The receiver has the letter "C" above the number "35" with a circle around it.

the band above the trigger has "1943" on top and the serial number at the bottom but in between is what appear to be "^H".

any information on these markings would be appreciated.

Looks like another Maltby rifle. "A H" is the serial number prefix.

Yes, I'm sure Steve is correct. The somewhat indistinct marking immediately before the date on the butt socket is the stylised letter 'M' for ROF Maltby in South Yorkshire, UKicon.
