NPM Recoil Plate

Would a recoil plate marked only with an N be an NPM recoil plate.? Real? Fake?

Could you post a picture. I don't know if I have ever seen one with just an N.

LN, and PN, were used on National Postal Meter carbines.

What a twit I am. Using a strong side light to get a picture of the "N", I can now see a faint "L" that I couldn't make out before. I feel more than a little foolish.

No reason to feel foolish, we have all been there. It's part of the learning cure, that's why we ask questions.

And on occasion, markings are almost invisible. For some of them, you have ti illuminate them at an oblique angle to see them at all. And in some other cases the marking is incomplete. We all have that problem from time to time.
