    Mauser sling ID help.

Not certain what I have here. Mauser type sling 3/4" wide approximately 54" long with only two adjustment hole/slots for butt end tab adjustment and no cross hatching. Well worn with no discernable markings on the adjuster butt tab or body of the sling. STG 44? Cut down K98icon sling?

I think that is an Italianicon Carcano Sling. They don't use a keeper however.

That would explain why the keeper looks diffrent in condition and color (possabily repro) bit the holes/slots do not look like the Carcanio slings I can find pictures of. The CarcanioK98 type pictures show a slot terminated at either end with a hole were the Germanicon slings have a hole only at one end? Very odd.
http://www.bergflak.com/mp40.html Perhaps this is the answer? MP38 MP40 sling? Replace the questionable tab with a button and it looks correct. Buckle, legnth & the odd hole/slot spacing seem to be correct.
