    "M.E." or "M.F." on 1895 Chilean Mauser .... What does it mean???

    Does anyone have an idea about what the M.E. or M.F. located on the cartouche of some 1895 Chileanicon Mausers means? I've noticed a few have years stamped there instead (1895, 1898, 1902).

    Thanks, Kevin

    Could you please provide a photo?

    M.E. = Maestranza del Ejercito (Arsenal of the Army)

    M.F. = Maestranza or Ministerio de ?
