    Wood

I found this interesting snippet whilst attempting to get info on WW2 Oz woodwork production.

Slazenger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The table of Slazenger UKicon WW2 product output is interesting:

858,000 sets of No4 furniture, 466,500 sets of grips for No 5 bayonets, 17,500,000 detonator caps, etc.

OK, it's on Wonkypaedia, but it is an interesting start.

Anyone have anything more on Oz small-arms furniture production?

It would be nice to know more, especially about production by Slazengers' in Australiaicon.

Only things I have seen from their factory in Oz are woodwork for the Number 1 (SMLE) rifle and bayonet grips for the Pattern 1907.

Be interesting to know if they still have the tooling for Number 1 wood.......
