    Cartridge case quetsion.

A couple of years ago, i bought 300 pre primed Rmington.303 Brit cases in anticipation of starting reloading. naturally life got in the way and it never happened. so NOW i think i can get to it. I have a bunch of 180grain Sierra .310 flat based bullets to use. However the neck of the case is way too narrow for the bullet. Bear in mind i haven't started reloading yet, so this is an entirely noobish question, but what do i use to expand the neck to fit the bullets?

    1. Use your sizing die, which includes an expander to form the inside of the neck to a diameter just slightly smaller than the standard bullet size (nominally .311") - unless it's a Lee collet die, which does the same job by compressing the neck around an internal mandrel.

    2. Sierra doesn't list a .310" 180-grain bullet. This is their listing for the nearest item -
    .311 dia. 180 gr. SPT Pro-Hunter 2310

    3. To learn competent handloading, you'll do well to observe picky little details like that.

Run the cases through the sizing die. May need to remove your decapping pin so you don't punch the primers out by mistake
