    Gustaf M94 or....

    Hello,
I picked up what I believe is a Gustaf M94 stock over the weekend. I had one a few months ago but now all I have are some photos of it. The one I have now is numbered 27834 and has the marks "EHP" on the inside. The medallion is "A6 No. 163". I never have understood what the medallion signifies. A noticeable difference is the plate that has what I believe are range guides was just like a decal on the earlier example I had. This one is nailed on.

I'm an opportunist. I recognized this as something that I had seen before so I thought I'd take a chance. Any information you all can share would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    ClarkB

I found a reference that I hope is helpful to decode the stock disc. If I'm correct the side showing would indicate 6th Artillery rifle No. 163.
After seeing some discs for sale online I noticed some reproductions were stamped repro on the back. I removed the disc just to see and it is stamped on the back. Maybe had been reassigned? It reads
    5
    I 25
    No. 364
Maybe 5th company, 25th Infantry rifle number No. 364?

They did re-use the disks. It's not uncommon to see two stampings on them. I have one of these stocks that was unfortunately cut down.

I`m looking for a stock like that for my 94.

Previous owner figured the wood should be shorter.
