    Eddystone Pattern 14

My first Pattern 14 as well as my first Gunbroker purchase. It looks to be in okay cosmetic condition. The stock has a few repairs, but I like it the way it is. The bore looks to be in really good condition. I do not know too much about. I believe it was made it Eddystone and it is in .303 Britishicon. I'm pretty sure there is a site that will give me the date of manufacture from the serial number. The one I was using doesn't seem to work anymore.

most assuredly a pattern 1914 rifle made at eddystone in 1916-17 , in 303 , its been through the weedon repair service , looks a nice enough one to me , eddystone made over 604,000 of these , puts yours comfortably in second half/late production

In case you did not see my answer on your original post, your rifle was one of 36,672 accepted by Britishicon inspectors at the factory in week ending 3 February 1917.

Finally got time to shoot the Eddystone today. Only a few rounds, but it is very accurate. Here are literally my first shots with it.

Those first five rounds all hit in the bullseye circle at 100 yards. I am very pleased.
