    How far have we come? The last vet red cap, carrying an Iphone...he didn't think he'd make it past that day...and here he is. And all those boys gone, bottom pic only shows part. If you go to Google Earth and look at the size of the area that was the graveyard, you see ho many they laid out...

    Description:

    A firing party renders honors with three rifle volleys at the dedication of the 4thMarDiv cemetery on Iwo Jima in March 1945. Each Marine division had a cemetery. All were closed in 1947 with remains repatriated and buried in a national or private cemetery.
