    Belgium FM Action Threads

I took an old barrel off of a Belgiumicon FM action and was surprised to find that the threads were not the standard count that you would find on a milsurp barreled action. Can someone please educate me on the thread differences since I want to rebarrel the FN action. Thanks in advance.

It came off of a Musketeer brand rifle. 30-06 caliber. Not a mag model action, but a long action

Pirate, Sorry I can't find much on this. However, most 98 types are 12 TPI V threads. I did find a reference to 10 TPI square threads used on some FN's but not sure about that. Maybe work the other direcction on this-- How many TPI is yours and what thread form? I guess it makes sense to just duplicate what you have since you know it fits. Salt Flat

Can't you just check it with a thread gauge? You must have one of those around...
