    Looking for Ross Sling

I'm looking for a genuine Ross 1910 MkIII sling. Or: if no hope, a replica?

As a possible trade, I have a Ross "fighting knife" [bayonet with re-profiled blade, missing the catch button & spring] Blade's got some corrosion; but it IS a Ross bayonet.

    Thanks and Happy "Ross-ing"!

The easiest way to get one of those here is to place a WTB and state the item required. Lots of guys here have lots of spare stuff. Curious though, couldn't you find one at the Calgary show Easter weekend?

Ross rifles and Ross bits were in short supply at the Easter show this year. There was one full wood Mk III, later production with nice crisp roundel and serial markings. It didn't last the weekend - FilmGuy did you pick that one up? If so, it's a beauty.

There were a number of sporters at the show, but priced above what I would view as market value. One very early sporter (transitional, I think - I only had a minute) marked price-on-application. A few bayonets, but I didn't see any slings.

Filmguy, I will send you a PM with something to consider as an option for a sling.

Yes, lots of sporter Ross at the show. I took a 1905 with a broken stock and sold it in the first hour. The buyer didn't blink, later when I examined his business card, he owned a pantograph company and I'll bet we can soon get 1905 stocks as a replacement item...I messaged his Email but no reply as of yet. Lots of guns went out the door from what I could see. I saw no slings either.
    Regards, Jim
