No. 32 scope proper storage/preventive maintenance

I was wondering if anyone had any advice for the proper storage of the No. 32 scope and if there is any yearly preventive maintenance that can be performed to keep the range and deflection drums from freezing up?

My concern is would the dehumidifier bar in a safe or desiccant cause any issues that could dry out the grease in the drums or the dryness/heat generated by the dehumidifier bar cause any damage?

    Thank you.

If it is a Mk1 or 2 then you really don't need to do anything. Old original Mk3's, just turn the drums once a week. Mk3's and L1A1/2's. No need to do anything as they are assembled with graphite grease.

If you live in a tropical part with great humidity you could unscrew the desiccation screw/seal and leave with a desiccation bag in a sealed plastic sandwich tub
