I haven't done as much deer hunting this year as I normally do, for various reasons. I've been covered up at work and it's been rather hot up until a couple weeks ago, among other things. Today I had this persistent urge to go hunting. I call it that old feeling. I usually do good on days when the urge just won't go away and today was no exception. I settled into my favorite lofty perch in an oak tree overlooking a narrow valley about 6:10 this evening with my L42, old #12. Spotted a nice fat doe right off the bat and came very close to shooting her and calling it a day but something told me to wait a while longer. Glad I did, about an hour later these two showed up. They'll go a long way towards my years supply of meat, probably turn out around 80 or so pounds.Information
