    Just a birch replacement stock

Received this stock from a 1st Sgt as a gift, the shell flame grain was not that apparent until I applied some BLOicon. It is nice to find both sides of the stock with a nice fancy color tooAttachment 61541Attachment 61540Attachment 61539

Sometimes birch can be downright gorgeous. Older Remington 870's can have nice figure underneath the crappy factory finish too.

    handguards

At the time that I got the birch stock, it appeared that birch handguards were not yet in the system as replacements. I use to check racks of rifles looking for fancy walnut handguards - which I did find. One front handguard that I did use is Winchester as far as I can tell, later on I found some fancy Winchester stocks (Wisconsin barnwood) and even later on some birch handguards.Attachment 61563Attachment 61564Attachment 61565

Winchester front handguard also in photo. I had installed a Winchester M70 target front sight and used this rifle for off hand steel plates
