    Silly but great stuff.

If anyone is ever en vacances in North Devon, there is an amphibious Booties unit at Instow. I like to watch them playing in the bay but 'Er indoors and the dogs find it boring.

A bit macho for a REME chap like me. I prefer my manouevers to be from the back of a lorry//ARV mounted workshop with the kettle on.

I have used blanks (and most of the time being the C9 gunner I get to use a fair bit), though I can get the point about the shorter sized SA-80 being louder.

Then I don't understand your point about not needing ear defenders then.

My partial deafness is DEFINITELY due to lack of ear protection in an age .... when there just wasn´t any. Not that I care that amount about what happens to a silly b*gger like Clarkson.
