Cool Yugo SKS now has Chinese Cousin

I've had my lone-SKS Yugoicon for around five years now, and really like it. It's in unissued condition, all matching s/n, fun and cheap to shoot; groups about 10 inches at 300 yards with Wolf 122gr FMJ.

And today I just took delivery of my second SKS, a 1963 Chinese Type 56 from J&G Sales, hand-select. Still scooping away the layers of cosmolineicon, but am already impressed: All matching s/n - wood and steel; wood is very good/not quite excellent - with no serious gouges, scratches, or bruises. Barrel and gas tube surfaces are around 80% faded blueing, more like a uniform dark stainless finish, with no scratches or pitting. Bayo is immaculate. It will be several days before I get the bolt and bore completely cosmoline-free, but I'm anxious to see the bore condition, and then get it out to the range with cousin Yugo for an SKS shoot-off throw-down.

When the Yugoicon's first came out I ordered one. It was so nice I ordered 4 more. One came with a hard cover book that the soldies kept note on it. I can't read it but S/N goes in this book. I bought a $90.00 beater to shoot a case of very corrosive ammo I got at auction CHEAP. I also have a Chi one but it is not in the orginal stock. BIL put a side folder on it and I got a composit bishop style stock on it.
