    P14 grenade discharger cup adapter

    Hi All

I am looking for any information on the P14 grenade discharger cup adapter, used to mount an SMLE cup to a P14 rifle. I have recovered a number from a Britishicon army dump in the UK but can find little, if anything, about them. The net appears devoid of any information at all about this item, so I thought I'd see if any of you guys have any info on them!

    Pics attached below.

    Thanks

Sorry, never seen one before you posted the pictures. Do you have a P14 that you could mount one on to show how it works?

We had some at Warminster but that's closed now. We also had a couple where the grenade had exploded in the cup that I showed on the forum. Maybe someone could resurrect the photos that'll give more detail.

Try this Milsurps Knowledge Library - Exploding P14 Grenade Discharger Cups (by Peter Laidler)

I'd assume it will be slipped over the front sight, and where the round hole in the discharger is, a screw will be inserted and this locks it to the front sight.

More generally spoken, I kind of didn't get what your question was or what you wanted to know.

Promo - I was hoping for a bit of history about the item, how many were made perhaps, and other general info. After searching the web for many hours, I found only one picture, and that is the one in the link rayg posted.

Seems to me to be a very unusual and rare item, given the complete lack of info on them!
