New, to me, Winchester 1917 with Kerr Sling

I recently purchased and received my first 1917. I bought it off of an add on Armslist. I know that this site has trouble with some sellers but I was comfortable after talking with the seller and after emails back and forth. Also, with the computer you can get information on the seller. Anyway please let me know your thoughts on my first 1917. Thanks

It's nice to see there's still nice clean 1917s out there. I remember as a kid buying them for $45 or so around here (1974) and they'd be in the grease. Always a nice mint barrel, like yours...
    Regards, Jim

That is a very nice rifle. It looks like it has some kind of adjustable target type of trigger. Any ideas as to what it is?

Agreed, little extra doodad on the trigger.

I've been collecting US rifles for a while, and still hoping to find a Winchester as nice and complete as that. It has seen a little rebuild action, but not much. Great looking gun.

    Talking Winchester 1917's

My compliments on acquiring a very nice example of the 1917. The original blued finish is a big plus on any of these. My Winchester is also in the same general condition, so your photos are much appreciated. I'll review your photos with my rifle in hand shortly. Thanks for posting !
