Coast Guard guys drove the boats and had the highest casualty ratio of any service in WWII. When they dropped their first load they went back for another wave and had to run the gauntlet again. I had a neighbor who had three boats shot out from under him in the Pacific.

Colorized b&w print and not a very good job either. Sailor's life jacket should be blue, soldiers packs should be OD, and etc.

    USCG Below

Coast Guards sailors wearing the standard issue “Kapok” life vest. An emergency locator light could be tied on up near the collar. (USCG Photo),

Not sure it is a colorized b&w
