A captured Pzk VI "Tiger".. Could be in North Africa '42-'43. In the rear with the gear troops may have had insignia to keep Patton happy.

I will go through my tiger books as I have seen that tank in a pic, what makes it stand out is the field repair to the right side of the turret just behind the Mantlet trunnion that square piece of plate welded on I am pretty sure they give the location of where it was lost or at least theater of action. I have pictured my modest collection of what I have to date on the Tiger the Patrick Agte (on top of the yellow one) one is unopened still in the plastic seal. Hopefully have the answer soon.

Thought I would give you a challenge for the weekend, you might have to take the wrapper off now. It probably took a Sherman with an 88 fitted to dtop it in its tracks. Mind you on second thoughts wouldn't that have had to be a rear engine shot to stop it??

It was probably abandoned after it ran out of gas. Then they fuelled it and tested it out. Everyone would have wanted a clipboard of info on that one.

712 ~ fought in North Africa and was one of the last ones to capitulate along with Tiger 131. Tiger 712 was shipped to the USA where it was displayed at the Aberdeen proving grounds for a long time it now resides (preserved so I gather under cover display) permanently in Germany.
